This is the accelerator pedal tab that is welded to the floor pan and anchors the accelerator pedal.
Many times, this tab is very rusty and nearly unrecognizable.
Replacement is easy and requires a small grinder, as well as the ability to tack weld the new tab into place.
A plastic clip is also necessary to hold the pedal to the tab.
