This unit no longer unscrews to use. Simply install and pump. Bosch OEM Replacement. Eliminates the potential air leaks caused by the old "screw top" style primer pump. We have gotten into the habit of replacing the old style on most every truck that comes thru our workshops. In the long run it eliminates a problem that has a tendency to show at the worst times.
Yes there are other "knock offs" that are cheaper. None that we have found have the quality of the Bosch Units.
